The Lady Arrows proved too much for the Chiefs tonight as they raced out to a 19-3 first quarter lead and never looked back. The CBC Kenton Trail Division-leading Tecumseh Arrows (12-7) got 33 point from all-league performer Corrine Thomas including 7 three-point goals. Thomas reached the 2000 point plateau tonight with her scoring effort. The Arrows made 11 total three-point shots for the game and turned the Lady Chieftains (9-12) over 24 times. Tecumseh’s suffocating defense limited the Lady chiefs to only 10 total field goals for the night. Chalony Tolliver lead the Chiefs in scoring with 9.

The Arrows won the JV contest 43-26. Carmen Shumaker had 9 points in the loss for the Chiefs.

Due to a water problem in the main gym at Tecumseh High School, tonight’s contests were played at Tecumseh Middle School.

The Lady Chiefs will look to bounce back Saturday as they travel to Sidney to take on the Lehman Catholic Cavaliers in a 12:00 noon JV tip. The varsity game will follow at approximately 1:30 pm.
