The Lady Chiefs (9-13) fell to host Lehman Catholic (10-11) 45-34 in non-league action Saturday afternoon. Lehman Catholic used a big 4th quarter to put away the Lady Chiefs after trailing 32-25 going into the final quarter. Using balanced scoring and aggressive defense, Lehman Catholic outscored the Chiefs 20-2 down the stretch for the win. For Lehman Catholic, Lauren McFarland scored 12, Grace Monnin had 10, and Anna Cianciolo added 8 for the winners. For the Chiefs, Aubrey Stolly scored 10, Lexxi Gorham had 9, and Taizha Collier added 7.
In the JV contest, the Lady Chiefs won 31-29 to finish the year 13-9. Enya Mitchell was the leading scorer for the Chiefs with 17 points. Heidi Toner had 10 points for Lehman Catholic.
The Lady Chiefs are back in action in sectional tournament play Saturday, February 16th at 3:30 pm at Springfield High School against the Lay Wave from Greenville. Tournament tickets are now on sale at Bellefontaine High School.
