This season has been one of constant growth for the Chieftain boys swimmers and Friday they had an opportunity to reap the benefits of their hard work. The boys competed in an invitational with 9 small teams. Not only did the boys win the meet but to top it off between the boys and girls the Chiefs dropped over 100 seconds on the night! We did not expect to see time improvements in this meet as we are in the hardest work phase of our season. We were thrilled to see these improvements and are excited to see how our boys will perform with rest later in the season.

Finishing top 3 for the boys (PR = personal record):
200 Medley Relay – 1st – Blake McDonald, Aidan Mifsud, Lucas Harrington, Elijah Merrin
200 Free Relay – 1st – John Fulmer, Blake McDonald, Aidan Mifsud, Lucas Harrington
400 Free Relay – 1st – David Moody, Elijah Merrin, John Fulmer, Cooper Harman

Every boy saw success at this meet either through scoring or improving their own time. I was very impressed with the performance of the team on Friday and I’m excited to see their continued improvement moving forward. The Chiefs compete next on Saturday, January 16th at home in the Logan County Meet.
