Bellefontaine Girls won the CBC tournament Friday 2/7/2020, we were tied with Jonathan Alder going into the tournament and needed to win to bring the trophy back to BHS, this was one of the goals the girls set for themselves and they were not going to let it slip away. When we prepared for this tournament I told them that if we could win the first game I thought we would win the title, and they came out and did just that and never looked back. We had awesome scores our regular game scores were 947, 1006, 975 = 2928 and we bowled a 902 baker set making our total 3830 for the night, we averaged 191.5 per bowler. Individual scores, Ashley Ehmer set a new school record bowling 199, 244, 246 = 689, the previous score was bowled by Angie Corwin a 652 in 2009, Lindsey Heminger bowled her first 600 hundred series bowling 194, 242, 186 = 622, Kayla Watkins 174, 225, 165 = 564, Abby Bailey 190, 138, 201 = 529, Brynn Noffsinger 190, 157, 177 = 524, it was a great night for our girls and their parents, this was a great team effort by the girls and a great win!! I am so proud of the hard work and effort the girls have shown and they proved to us all how bad they wanted this. Now we need to get prepared for Sectionals, we bowl on Feb. 26, at Poelking Lane South.
